Yoga Science Meet

Yoga is a spiritual science discipline dating back to some 5000 years in the history of Indian philosophy; its purpose, mainly to unleash spiritual and mental powers of an individual. However, in recent times yoga has been extremely popular in the context of fighting stress, anxiety and depression in these times of urbanization and our super-fast lifestyles. The science of yoga is having tremendous scientific basis in human sciences such as anatomy, physiology, and psychology. Yoga is here treated separately from physical exercise and meditation, which has effects of its own. As a part of 107th Indian Science Congress – 2020, the yoga science meet is convened on 05th January 2020.

    A doctor turned meditation teacher, Dr Vinod Kumar volunteers with THE ART OF LIVING, a non profit organisation committed to bringing holistic all round development in individuals and building a stress free and violence free world.     As a versatile leader, Dr Vinod Kumar has led several projects such as Yogathon, Meditate India, Drug free India and Volunteer for a better India .He has been featured in THE HINDU News paper for his exemplary work in colleges and universities in enabling the youth to take social responsibility. As an avid learner, he has also contributed to the research on the scientific benefits of Sudarshan kriya & meditation.

    As a passionate trainer, he conducts various stress management, self development and Leadership programs of The Art of Living to people from several walks of life. His participants include Doctors & Patients, Scientists & Artists, CEOs & Managers, Directors, Principals, Faculty and Students of all age groups.
